We will not be ready to open the museum as scheduled this Sunday, Sept. 3 due to the necessary preparations we had to make for Hurricane Harvey: We had to move almost all exhibits to a safer area and now must re-assemble each exhibit before we can re-open the museum. Our volunteers are busy with other efforts to assist with hurricane recovery (including their personal losses) so we will re-open as soon as we can. We are thankful that the damage to the museum was extremely minimal but the re-assembly of exhibits will take some time. Our struggles are so small compared to those of others.
Our heartfelt prayers are with everyone who is facing difficulties following the hurricane. We appreciate our volunteers and supporters — and your patience! Thank you.
